How to Read a Map of Ear Reflexology

It is not necessary to have ear anatomy skills to read an auricular reflexology map. The World Health Organization (WHO) has defined a series of 90 standard reflex points located in the outer ear area, corresponding to the internal organs and the musculoskeletal system. The practice of reflexology has proven effective in treating pain, stress, depression and other disorders. Learning to read a reflexology map can help you locate some specific reflex points in the ear area, so you can practice reflexology massage to relieve pain and improve your Emotional state.

1) Get a headset reflexology map online (you can also refer to a map attached to a book).
To learn how to read an auricular reflexology map, you will need to have a hand to read that is reliable. You can easily find one online, or you can use one attached to a reflexology manual. If you want to get the most out of it, get a poster-sized map. The standard reflex points located at the ear are 90, so reading a map of too small size can present problems.

2) Study the pattern of the reflected points on the auricular map.

You will see a logical scheme of the reflex points located at the various areas of the ear. The reflex points are located on the outer ear, outside the ear canal and at the lobe. The reflex points corresponding to the internal organs are located inside the ear canal.
To ease the task, you can imagine the ear as a representation of the human being upside down. The correspondence between the reflex points and the various parts of the body may be clearer if you think of the ear as a person upside down in a fetal position. The lower part of the ear (the lobe) corresponds to the head and the neck, while the central part corresponds to the internal organs. Finally, the upper part of the ear corresponds to the lower parts of the body, such as the anus, the legs and the feet.  23 AUGUST 2018   विज्ञापन पर भी यहां क्लिक करें

3) Identify specific areas within the macro-areas.

Many maps have a colour-coding: the areas of the map marked with a certain colour indicate specific parts of the body, which you can stimulate with a reflexology massage. If you want to identify the reflex point that corresponds to a specific organ, try to compare the shape of your ear with the one drawn on the map in the mirror.

4) Learn to identify “emotional points” on the auricular reflexology map.
Holistic medicine claims that we are something more than a set of organs because the human body is a complex system of interrelated elements. For this reason, certain emotions are thought to correspond to certain reflex points located on the ear. Also identifying these points can help you learn how to read your auricular reflexology map.

5) Identify the points associated with empathy, guilt and self-pity.
Empathy, guilt and self-pity are located on the outer side of the ear, roughly halfway up.

6) Identify the points associated with depression and the sense of oppression.
The points associated with depression and the sense of oppression are located on the upper part of the external auricle. Consider the massage in this area if you’re feeling sad lately, or if you’re feeling “too much meat in the fire” right now.                                                                                                                                                                                   6 MAY 2018

7) Identify points associated with feelings of anger, fear and self-expression.
The points associated with feelings of anger and fear and problems with expressing oneself are located behind the ear canal, in the middle of the ear. Consider the massage in this area if you ultimately feel anger or fear and if you have difficulty expressing your feelings or saying what you think.

8) The centre of affectivity and availability to others is found in correspondence with the lobes.
The lobe is the point of the ear corresponding to affectivity and availability to others. It is the easiest point to locate and probably the easiest one to stimulate. Consider the massage of this point if you want to become more affectionate and affable.

10) Start from the lobes.
Starting from the lobes, gently massage the outer side of the ear with the thumb, gradually climbing up to the top. Continue by pressing and turning the lobe between the thumb, forefinger and middle finger for 4-5 seconds.  This treatment can help relieve pain or tension in the head and neck.
Repeat this treatment three times.

11) Switch to the middle and upper part of the outer ear.
Go up the outer ear by pressing and rolling the skin between your thumb, forefinger and middle finger for 4-5 seconds. This massage treats the region corresponding to shoulders, elbows, wrists, feet and ankles.
Repeat this treatment three times.

12) Switch to the cavity located just inside the outer ear, near the upper edge.
Using the index finger, massage this area with circular movements. Massage this area for 3-5 seconds, descending to the base of the cavity at the same time. This massage treats the region corresponding to the neck, hips, knees, back, spine and part of the pelvis.
Repeat this treatment three times.

13) Work on the ear canal.
Then use the tip of the index finger to gently press everything around the area of the ear canal. DO NOT insert your finger into the ear canal. Gently press the area three times, moving the index finger all the way around the ear canal. Then go to the point where the lobe and the jaw are joined and gently press it three times. This massage treats the region that corresponds to the internal organs.

14) Finally, pull the ear upwards.
The last thing to do is to clip the middle fold of the ear with your thumb and gently pull the ear upwards three times. This final “ear roll” helps improve circulation and completes the massage.
To get a better result, repeat the whole procedure 2-3 times a day.
