Avoiding Contact with Germs and Virus Keeping a Healthy Life Style Nutrition in Healthy Mode
With its characteristic symptoms (muscular soreness, fatigue, fever, chills and nasal congestion), the flu can make us feel really bad. Depending on the severity of the virus, the disturbances may last for several days or weeks. For some people, the flu has proved to be fatal! Once the virus is contracted, there is not much to do to relieve the symptoms and shorten their duration, so the best thing is to try to prevent the disease. Even in this case, however, this is not an easy task: prevention requires commitment and consistency.

1) Wash your hands frequently.
It is the simplest preventive measure to avoid contracting the flu. Wash the germs out of your hands using hot soapy water as often as possible. By making use of them many times a day, hot and soapy water are all they need.
Hand hygiene products are not as effective as simple soap and hot water but can be useful when they are not available.
Wash your hands before and after meals before and after contact with food, after touching the trash, after shaking hands or touching someone else in any way, and when you come home after being in a public place. You should wash your hands even after sneezing (even if you turned your face to your arm or elbow), to have touched an animal, changed a nappy, or helped a child use the toilette.

2) Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
The quickest way to get influenza virus or other germs is to transfer them from hands to eyes, nose, or mouth. For this reason, during the influenza season, you should avoid as much as possible to touch you in these areas (unless you have just washed your hands).
Eating your nails will expose you to a very high risk of contagion. Viruses and other germs may be trapped under your nails even after you have washed their hands.

3) Restricts contact with sick people.
In some cases, it will be impossible to avoid it altogether, but to minimize contact with those who are influenced greatly increases the probability of being healthy.
Even if it is a disease other than influenza, the best thing to do is stay away. 4) Use a disinfectant.
Influenza virus may lie in wait for the most easily exposed germs in the home or office area, so it is a good idea to disinfect them. This advice is particularly useful if any of your colleagues or family members have recently become ill. If you work in a very crowded environment, disinfect common use surfaces (such as handles and handrails) to reduce the likelihood of germ infection.
Treating home surfaces could be simpler than cleaning them in public. Try using comfortable hygienic wipes or a hand disinfectant.

5) flu vaccine.
Doctors recommend that pregnant women, children, the elderly and those suffering from chronic illness prevent influenza with the appropriate vaccine. [8] Flu viruses change and become continuous, but the seasonal flu vaccine is formulated to prevent the most active strains in that period.
The ideal time to do the vaccine is shortly after it has been made available, usually at the beginning or mid-autumn. In any case, it is useful even if it is done later.
If you do not like injections or you are afraid of needles, you can tell about the vaccines that are given as nasal spray.

6) Sleep enough.
To keep your body healthy, you should sleep about 7-9 hours a night. The more the body is resting, the more the immune system is effective.
Sleep deficiency can induce the body to produce excess cytokines, proteins responsible for the onset of symptoms during flu or colds.


7) It alleviates stress.
Both physical and mental stress can have a negative impact on the body and weaken the immune system. Studies have shown that reducing stress levels can ensure better long-term health.
Every day finds some time to clear your mind, meditate or do yoga. Meditation can help relieve anxiety and fears.
If you feel stressed because of your job, talk to your boss. Remember that health is very important, so just ask for help if you feel the need.

8) Stop smoking.
If you are a smoker, this could be a great time to stop. Smoking causes damage to the respiratory system, dehydrates the body and weakens the immune system.
Smoke also destroys nasal wounds, which represent the first defence weapon against invading germs. A shortage of these fibres increases the likelihood of infection by influenza viruses, as they do less to penetrate the body.

9) Walk or run three times a week.
Exercise can actually be considered the source of youth (and health). It has been shown, in fact, that physical activity regularly contributes to combating infections, possible influences. When you exercise your body increases the production of white blood cells, cells able to prevent and fight illnesses. In addition to expelling more toxins through sweat, you will improve your circulation and help your body absorb nutrients more easily.
Walk, run or do any other form of cardiovascular exercise for at least
30 minutes three times a week. Ideally, you should try to do physical activity every day.

10) Do yoga.
It is an excellent practice that keeps your body running while calming your mind at the same time. Numerous studies have shown that doing yoga gives relief to the nervous system, greatly lowering the level of stress, also acts as a lubricant for the joints and strengthens the core muscles. When you are less stressed, your immune system is stronger, so it can fight diseases more effectively.

11) Swimming
Swimming is a sport that can be practised all year round thanks to indoor swimming pools. Swiming regularly does very well, since water thanks to the impact from the joints are less. Like many other forms of exercise, swimming also strengthens the immune system by helping you prevent the flu.

12) Drink plenty of water.
To keep your body hydrated properly, an adult man should drink thirteen glasses of water every day (240 ml each), while an adult woman should drink nine. The water oxygenates the blood and favours the expulsion of toxins. When the body builds up the slime, the immune system weakens inevitably. Depending on the body every day, drinking plenty of water will eliminate it effectively.
Cleansing the body with water is not enough to cure the flu, but it needs to keep it hydrated, especially when the disease causes dysentery, vomiting or fever, increasing the need for fluid.
Drinking lots of water are simpler than you think, just fill a big bottle in the morning and continue sipping it all day long, filling it again if necessary.

13) Avoid alcohol.
Alcoholic beverages are harmful to most organs of the human body, weaken the immune system and dehydrate the body. As a direct consequence, the body does much more to fight the disease. It is a fact that alcoholics are more likely to develop a large number of pathologies besides liver cirrhosis.
If you do not want to give up completely alcoholic beverages, try at least to consume them in a limited way: less than three drinks a week.
Alcoholics, despite being liquids, greatly dehydrates the body by depriving it of several important nutrients.
Try to avoid spirits, such as vodka or gin, preferring for example

14) Avoid all carbonated beverages.
There is a good reason why in the 1970s the sugar was known as “white poison”: many studies had found that it can cause premature ageing and weaken the immune system too. Try to get rid of carbonated drinks and sugary juices. If you can not avoid them altogether, strive at least to limit their consumption to a minimum.
Try drinking fresh juices and juices or tea and sugar-free herbs if the simple water does not satisfy you.
Taste different types of tea or herbs; Black or green tea is particularly suitable if you want to drink something other than water because it has antioxidant properties.

15) Eat the fruits and vegetables that have the colours of the rainbow.

Try to choose fruits and vegetables of different colours. It is the best way to be sure to take all the vitamins and nutrients your body needs to defend itself from illnesses
