If you have tried unnecessarily to treat acne with every skin care product on the market, you can try a natural remedy. If you have a bunch of bananas at your disposal or you can recover a couple of fruits, you have some chance of succeeding in your intent. Use the banana peel to treat the skin affected by acne, because it contains lutein (an antioxidant) and carotenoids precursors of vitamin A, all elements that help reduce inflammation. Although there is no clinical evidence to prove its effectiveness, you can still try this remedy and see if it works.
Treat Acne with Banana Peels
1) Wash your skin.
Before using this method, you must be sure that the skin is clean and free of any dirt or grease. Use a mild detergent to clean the affected area and then rinse with cold water. Dry by dabbing with a clean and soft cloth.
Do not rub or rub the skin too hard, because you could ignite it and make the situation worse.
2) Choose the banana.
You must take one that is mature. It must be yellow with black dots. Do not choose an unripe (bright yellow and green dots) or too ripe (greasy and black).
If the banana is ripe, it is also easier to rub it on the area affected by the acne.
3) Prepare the peel.
Remove the pulp from the peel (you must not use it to treat your acne); you can decide to eat the fruit or keep it to treat another skin problem. Cut the peel, so it becomes easier to handle the individual pieces.
The peel of this fruit contains vitamins A, B, C, E in addition to potassium, zinc, iron and manganese. These nutrients calm inflammation and can reduce acne outbreaks.
4) Rub the skin of banana on the skin.
Use the inside white colour. Take one piece and rub it or massage it gently on the skin for about 10 minutes.
Every few minutes check that the peel is still white inside. When it becomes black, replace it with another piece and continue to massage the skin.
5) Leave the skin to rest.
At the end of the message, do not wash it immediately. If possible, wait until the end of the day to rinse the skin with cold water; in this way you allow it to absorb all the nutrients from the fruit.
If you can not wait until the end of the day to wash your face, try rubbing the peel before going to sleep. You can rinse the next morning with clean water.
8) Continue to repeat this procedure.
Although daily treatment is sufficient, you should still repeat it for several consecutive days. After a few days, you should notice a reduction in acne – or at least redness.
If you notice that your skin becomes very irritated after treatment, stop it and let the skin rest. Consider turning to a dermatologist if acne persists or worsens.
7) Treat wrinkles or cracked heels.
If you want to find a remedy for your wrinkles or have very cracked heels, use the banana. Squeeze the pulp to form a puree, apply it directly to the areas you want to treat and let it act. In this way the skin is hydrated and the appearance of wrinkles is reduced.
In particular, the vitamin E contained in this fruit effectively acts to weaken the appearance of wrinkles.
8) Prepare an exfoliating scrub.
Crush a ripe banana into a bowl until it becomes almost liquid. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar or 2-3 teaspoons of oats and mix the mixture. In this way, it becomes easier to apply it on the skin and remove all dead cells. Finally, rinse with warm water and apply a moisturizer.
Be gentle when you exfoliate your skin. You must never rub it with sudden or aggressive movements because you could damage it. Instead, use your fingertips gently and apply the scrub by making circular movements.
9) Try a moisturizing facial mask.
If you want to make one quickly, take a ripe banana and crush it with a fork until it becomes quite liquid. Spread it on your face and leave it for 15-20 minutes. If you want to get more benefits from this mask, add one of the following ingredients:
Turmeric powder has antibacterial properties and can fight infections.
Sodium bicarbonate opens the pores and eliminates excess sebum.
Lemon juice: makes the skin brighter and more toned.
Honey: it can kill bacteria responsible for acne.
10) Use banana for your hair.
Do not forget that this fruit is also great for treating hair problems. Squeeze one or two bananas and add a tablespoon of honey or a few drops of almond oil. Apply the solution to wet hair and let it act for about 15 minutes. At the end, rinse.
The banana combined with honey or oil can moisturize dry and damaged hair.
